7. Registration in the companies register

The notary transmits the file directly to the Registre de Societats Mercantils of the Andorran government. Registration generally takes 10 to 15 working days. At the end of this step, the company acquires legal personality and you receive the companies register card.

8. Obtain the NRT and register with the tax authority

Once you have the companies register card, you can apply for the tax registration number (NRT) — essential for operating legally. The company must then register with the Departament de Tributs i de Fronteres (Andorran tax authority), which assigns the definitive fiscal NRT, required for filing corporate tax (IS) and IGI (Andorran VAT at 4.5%).

9. Reserve the trade name and obtain the trading licence (Obertura de Comerç)
